<p>This is an event re-scheduled because of the riots in Manchester last month.</p>
<p>This 1 hour documentary highlights the experience and testimony of Mr Tsutomu, one of 30 people who witnessed both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, and his talks to the UN and to schoolchildren prior to his death in 2010 at the age of 93 after considerable health issues.</p>
<p>Introduced by Councillor Mark Hackett, Mayors for Peace</p>

<p>Peace and social justice stalls and an opportunity to meet and talk to campaigners and activists.</p>
<p><strong>19th September &#8211;  Film &#8220;Imagine Rainbow In Katmandu&#8221;,  Cross Street Chapel</strong></p>
<p>7.15 p.m.  Pay what you can &#8211; guide line price £5</p>
<p>Singer/Song-writer <strong>Carole Isis </strong>will open this film event about <strong>IRIK</strong>, an amazing children’s music project in Katmandu Nepal. The Swiss film maker Thomas Bertschi will visit the UK to introduce this wonderful film made between November 2005 and April 2006 under turbulent political circumstances.  Experienced and well known Nepali musicians working with very varied groups of children throughout the Katmandu valley  created a unique and diverse musical performance which represented the dreams and wishes of the children.  Fusing visual arts and music, the project gave the children the opportunity to express themselves in colour and music, creating a collage showing the rich heritage of the Kathmandu valley guided by sound and colour- from the past to the present into the future.  The music project is a unifying and continuing peace legacy to the region and donations will go to support future work of the Rainbow project <strong>www.rainbow-project.ch</strong></p>
